In 2003, Mick Pierce from Uponor invited me to the Lymm water tower renovation — part of the ‘Seven Year Makeover’ series hosted by Russell Harris. A three-year engagement covering underfloor heating, comprehensive plumbing, and luxury bathroom transformations.
Awarded after quality work on a previous village project. Demolition of the cavity wall between kitchen and dining room to create an open-plan space, with the 2.4 m ceiling raised to a vaulted design in collaboration with a structural engineer.
Timber vaulted ceiling to structural engineer specifications, plus an innovative steel support system for the demolished wall — including top beam, end columns, and spreader beam on the original foundations.
